COVID-19 UPDATE

Phase 2 of Reopening Following Restrictions due to Covid-19

Top To Toe Physiotherapy is happy to announce we are now moving into phase two of reopening.

We are still only offering appointments at the Wells Road clinic but we are extending our appointments to not only just urgent and emergency treatment but to any one in need of physiotherapy whose needs can not be met by a virtual appointment.

We are still following our ‘Virtual First’ approach of online consultations and to adhere to the Chartered society of Physiotherapy guidelines all patients will be screened over the phone to ascertain whether a face to face consultation is appropriate. At this time we are not able to offer appointments for sports massage, but will keep you updated when this changes.

We have been putting in number of measures to reduce the risk to our staff, patients and to public health. As you can imagine operations will be very different to start with so please be patient with us through the new changes. If you are considering coming for a face to face appointment it is essential that you read the up to date information on our website or email us for further information

Clinic Capacity and Cleaning

  • To start with there will only be one physiotherapist working in the clinic per day and one administrator

  • We will only have limited appointments available each week but as the time goes on we hope to increase our capacity.

  • Appointments will be spaced out so that there are 15 minutes between appointments. This will enable the clinician to have time to change PPE and clean all surfaces that have been touched by either the clinician or the patients with alcohol-based spray. This includes the plinths, seat handles, door handles, taps and light switches of the treatment room and the toilet if it is used during the patients visit.

  • Where possible, windows and doors will be opened to increase ventilation

  • Gym equipment, towels and couch covers will not be used.

  • Pillow are wipeable and will be cleaned by the clinician between sessions.

  • Couch roll will be used on the couch and pillows.

  • A deep clean of the clinic will happen daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

Your physiotherapist will be wearing the following PPE at your appointment. This is in compliance with current government guidelines:https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-infection-prevention-and-control

  • Non-latex gloves (single use)

  • Apron (single use)

  • IIR facemask (sessional use

Your Agreement with Us

We advise that you continue with virtual sessions unless there is clinical need to have hands on physiotherapy. You will have a phone consultation with your physiotherapist before coming into the clinic so that they can assess the need for a face to face consultation. This is in line with the recommendations from our regulatory body The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

https://www.csp.org.uk/news/coronavirus/clinical-guidance/face-face-or-remote-consultations/guidance-england

We are doing everything we can to reduce the risk of our clinicians and patients contracting Covid-19. However, if you come for face to face treatment, please be aware that there is no way that we can eliminate the risk of you contracting Covid-19.
